Case Report: Recurrent Cerebral Infarction Following Acupuncture Treatment in a Patient with Lung Adenocarcinoma and Deep Vein Thrombosis

【摘要】
65歲女性患者有高血壓、肺腺癌病史。2022/06/11右下肢疼痛，併發紅腫
熱脹，曾至他院骨科門診就醫，診為深層靜脈栓塞，開立藥物囑其服用。患者
回家後曾自行推拿右小腿疼痛處。2022/06/13下午因暈眩與左側肢體無力送至
義大醫院急診就診，MRI顯示急性右側顳葉梗塞。後轉至神經內科病房進行後
續治療，2022/06/21會診中醫進行中醫針灸治療。因狀況穩定，於2022/06/22
出院，中醫會診共計一次。2022/06/25因再次中風而入院，並繼續針灸治療，
本篇將探討深層靜脈血栓與針灸安全性之關係，提供醫界臨床參考。

【Summary】
A 65-year-old female patient with a history of hypertension and lung adenocarcinoma. On June 11, 2022, she experienced pain in her right lower limb accompanied by redness, swelling, and heat. She visited the orthopedics outpatient clinic at another hospital and was diagnosed with deep vein thrombosis and prescribed medication. After returning home, she performed self-massage on the painful area of her right calf. On the afternoon of June 13, 2022, she was sent to the emergency department of E-Da Hospital due to dizziness and left-sided limb weakness. MRI showed acute right temporal and parietal infarction. She was then transferred to the neurology ward for subsequent treatment, and on June 21, 2022, she received a consultation for traditional Chinese medicine (TCM) acupuncture treatment. Her condition stabilized, and she was discharged on June 22, 2022, after a single TCM consultation. On June 25, 2022, she was readmitted due to another stroke and continued with acupuncture treatment. This report will explore the relationship between deep vein thrombosis and the safety of acupuncture, providing clinical reference for the medical community.
